The situation
The founder needed a full Spring catalogue — studio shots, loft lifestyle scenes, and a campaign hero — with three weeks until launch. She had flat-lay photos of four key garments and a Pinterest board heavy on quiet luxury: muted pastels, soft tailoring, natural window light. No existing on-model photography. No model or photographer on retainer.
Two studio quotes came back at $10,000–12,000 with four-week lead times. Both required deposit before any frames were visible. Her previous experience with a smaller drop: three revision rounds and a compromise look she described as “close enough.”
What we delivered
25 on-model images across four settings, all locked to an extracted palette (blush rose, dusty mauve, warm sand, soft plum):
- 8 studio catalog shots — white cyclorama, window shadow lighting
- 6 loft lifestyle images — natural light, dusty rose interior
- 4 campaign visuals — golden hour outdoor
- 7 pose and background variants for hero looks
Two revision rounds. Final files organized by look and exported for web. The founder published them directly on her store — no follow-up shoot scheduled.
Why validation first
She explored three visual directions before committing. When the loft co-ord read too pink in batch one, direction adjusted in the sprint — not on a reshoot day. Stakeholders shared one locked reference set before any major production spend. Total sprint time: eight days from brief intake to live product pages.
Optional add-on: audience simulation on day eight flagged that the studio power suit tested stronger than the beach sparkle hero for luxury buyer segments. She swapped the homepage image before driving traffic.
Founder note (demo): “We went from mood boards and anxiety to a locked visual direction in days. Every image matches what I had in my head — and we entered launch with real creative confidence.”
